About

I find the real problem and build the fix.

I am a mechanical engineer with aerospace roots who became a software builder. The constant across everything I do is the same move: find a real problem people are working around badly, make the durable call, and ship the thing that solves it.

I am domain-agnostic on purpose. The problem matters to me more than the field, whether that is version control for CAD, enterprise training that has to run on a disconnected network, or a travel app that plans around festivals. Still, one thread does run through all of it. I love building things that help other builders, the tools and platforms that make it easier for people to design, make, and ship real work. I am happiest embedded in a hard problem and owning what gets built.

My main language is C# and .NET, from years of building and running Febris. I reach for whatever the problem actually needs, which is how I have also shipped Rust backends, a Python and OpenCASCADE geometry pipeline, and React front ends. From 2019 to 2023 I ran my own homelab, a Dell PowerEdge R720xd with a few enterprise SSDs and around 100 GB of RAM, for running and testing software and standing up my own builds the moment I wanted to try them. The mechanical-engineering background did not go anywhere. It just found a new place to be useful.

For the past two years I have lived and worked on the road, from an off-grid-capable Airstream with a redundant electrical system and satellite internet, an office I engineered before I ever called remote a preference. Living this way surfaces real problems: finding the festival worth the detour, navigating unfamiliar roads, the stretches where connectivity is a fight, all while parked somewhere genuinely beautiful. Festurah grew out of one of those. When a project calls for it, I can point the whole rig at a customer's site and be there in person for a month. Remote is not a perk I am asking for, it is how I already work.

2016 to 2018
Co-Founder, Architectural Innovations 3D. A visualization service that turned architects' BIM data into 3D-printed physical models and digital visualizations.
2012 to 2016
Intern to Lead Project Engineer, ES3. Aerospace research and development. Led an additive-manufacturing cold-spray R&D program from concept through validation, authored overhaul manuals for the C-5 and F/A-18 airframes, and designed mechanical test fixtures and nondestructive failure-detection methods.

U.S. citizen. Secret clearance eligibility via a favorably adjudicated Tier 3 investigation, inactive since 2016.
